Driving weekly food pantry donations through a hosted virtual get-together
We go through our home pantries to look for things that we can donate to our local food pantry.
We review upcoming food and agriculture-related events in the area.
We often have guest cameos from local farmer’s, restaurant owners, and friends of the food community.
We share recipes, gardening tips, and info on whatever other fun topics benefit those who show up.
Find at least one thing in your pantry that qualifies as a donation to your local food pantry.
For The Open Door food pantry in our HQ hometown of Gloucester Massachusetts, this means healthy and wholesome food items, fresh produce, pantry staples, and pet food.
Once you have enough to warrant a pick up, we will happily do so on Saturday afternoons.
Though we spend time hosting these events and collecting the donations, we still want to do more!
All attendees, even those who don’t have pantry items to donate, receive a one-time 10% discount code to the SweetSoil online store.
And if you donate a bunch of pantry items, we will provide a 20% discount on your next pre-order or monthly subscription Winter Share for all SweetSoil products (including merch)!
All of our spices are fresh ground, carefully processed, truly top quality.
We don't carry everything...mostly things you'd find growing in New England outside of the wintertime season.
What we do provide is leagues better than anything you can get in a store.
We know there's time for savory spices and healthy powders, but there's also time to just snack.
